Classes
This class will introduce students to some of the basic programs, equipment, and applications for specific commercial, industrial, and entertainment needs. An emphasis will be placed on the Design Principles and good visual communication with in real world settings. The students will learn the basics of the Abode Master Collection, and different presentation software. In-depth hands-on experiences will reinforce the learning process. An electronic portfolio will also be completed in order to highlight the student’s work.
The level 2 class provides the students with advance training in the computer applications from the level 1 class. The students will get basic training in related visual and sound imaging techniques. Introduction to digital imaging for animation will also be studied and put into use. Adobe Master Collection will be further examined as learning tool to enhance the class. An electronic portfolio will also be completed in order to highlight the student’s work.
The level 3 class provides the students with advance training and specialized work in Video and Sound editing. They will learn techniques in order to communicate messages to specific targets. The students will also get proficient in Digital Photography, Photoshop, along with advance Video Editing Skills. Advance studies within The Master Collections will be explored. An electronic portfolio will also be completed in order to highlight the student’s work.
This final level of Media Production Academy is ran as an Independent Study Type Program. It will force the students to use their knowledge from the previous levels to complete assigned projects. It will also give the students advance training in camera work and equipment operations, image capture, and computer applications. One of the main focuses will be television production techniques including the use of the cameras, console and audio board and the preparation of scripts by producing and directing studio programs. They will produce promotional video pieces for the school and run the RBRHS TV Studio.
This is year course emphasizing the basics of what goes into producing films. This course is an elective that uses a hands-on approach to learning. Activities will include basic camera work and editing techniques along with sound and photographic manipulation. Students will be taught the basics of what happens in the film industry. Students will be required to appear on camera and produce a certain number of projects during the course of the year.
Using project-based instruction and hands-on labs, the Web Design course was developed as a way for students to understand the importance of a fully functional website. It is designed so that students can learn the creative design process used to display information. This course will focus on the three basic design concepts for a Web site: Information Design (How to Present Information); Functionality, (How the Presentation of the Information is Used), Visual Design (How the Presentation of the Information is Looks). A commonsense approach to design fundamentals will demonstrate how the Web homepage is a practical tool designed to capture and inform an audience.
